Network Outage Update, Monday, November 5, 8:10AM EDT

November 5, 2007

With more than 35 technicians working around the clock, there are still Network Operations issues with the move/migration causing all websites to be “mostly” unavailable, and all e-mail functions down. We are one of about 1000 hosting companies that are down, and there are more than 100,000 websites worldwide experiencing the same issue.

Crossover Consulting/GemTravelSites.com staff has always had a contingency plan in case of a failure on the part of our Network Operations Staff, and we are now implementing our Emergency Backup Management Plan, which will reroute all sites to our backup server. While this will restore incoming e-mail traffic, there is some assistance needed.

IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH US, PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO CHELLEYARBROUGH@GMAIL.COM WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

1. An e-mail address NOT associated with your domain name, ie. Yahoo, Gmail, MSN, AOL. This will serve as our primary point of contact with you for the duration of this situation.

2. A list of your mailbox account names AND passwords. Since all accounts configure their own accounts, we do not have a list of them, but we will rebuild them for you. If you do not know the passwords, we will choose new ones for you and send you back and e-mail with the list.

We anticipate that our phone lines will be very busy. Please be assured that we are working on the solution diligently. Email is the only method of communication we can utilize today so that we can concentrate on working with the Network Operations Center, and continute to deploy our Emergency Backup.

We apologize for the situation, and will have a full report of the incident as soon as service is restored.

Sincerely,
Chelle Yarbrough, CTC

At this time, a team of Network Operations Engineers is working to resolve the outage caused by a migration and move to a new platform. We anticipate full restoration of service within 3-5 hours. We will provide updates as the status changes.
