Custom Design or Template Modification - Every Budget Welcome
Our websites are designed to fit the specifications of any travel industry partner - from the home-based agency to the mega-consortium to the CVB to the world-wide destination. What makes us different is that we understand both sides of the equation - the travel industry operations side and the high-tech world of the internet. We’ve designed hundreds of travel agency sites and each one is completely unique. You don’t need to explain to us the difference between mass-market cruise clients and upscale soft-adventure clients. We know travel inside and out and our designs are created with your customers and potential customers in mind.
Template Modification
First, decide what kind of time you can spend to the upkeep. If you have little or no time, you can outsource to us, go with a customized blog solution, or consider a content provider. We have integrated the content of all of them, and your consortium, host agency or co-op is the best place to ask which one you should choose. If you don’t have a preference, we can steer you in the right direction based on your needs, or you might consider completely customized content written for your site. The fees that all content providers charge (including ours) are separate from any monthly hosting fees we charge. Once you’ve decided on what will power your website, then it is time to decide on the look and feel of your site.
If you decide on a template modification, then the first step (after choosing the content) is to purchase the template license outright from our preferred company. Then complete our order form for a template modification. We charge a $500 deposit for the work to be performed. Most template modifications do not exceed that, and your new hosting setup is free! Once we receive your deposit we will automatically send you the link to our design modification form. We’ll ask you detailed questions about how you want the design to look and feel. Once we receive that back, your designer will call you (normally the same or next business day, depending on the time you submit it) and discuss the choices you’ve made. We’ll also discuss any extra costs, if applicable, before we start the work. Extra costs could include custom forms, flash programming, custom graphics, or custom logos. You won’t be surprised by any added charges. If you ask for anything extra while we’re working on the template we’ll be sure and ask you to sign off on the added cost before we start. Templates take anywhere from 24 hours to a week (or more) depending on what you have asked for. You’ll be able to see the design as we work on it and approve the drafts and mock-ups so you know how it will look when complete. Once the design is complete, we will provide you with the source files and a copyright release for your files, or upload them if you are hosting with us, which we always recommend.
If you have purchased a content package, then we will create the pages of content and provide those as well via zip file, or via upload to our server. Content packages are separate from the template modification. Template modification is design, and content integration is programming. Content integration of a supplier or company like Online Agency, Signature Travel Network, Vacation.com, Passport Online or Revelex is very complex. We have worked with all major content companies since 1999 and keep abreast of the latest links, tips and tricks to insure your site is very user friendly, and search engine ready.
After the upload, we’ll release it to you for an audit, make any needed changes and then it will be ready for marketing and advertising to get the word out about your new site.
